JEE Main 2020 Application Correction
It is obvious to thoroughly verify your details before you submit your application forms. In certain cases, if you have made any mistake and want to rectify it, NTA allows you to do so. National Testing Agency provides a separate link. Through this link, the candidates can make the necessary JEE Main Application Correction 2020. NTA does not allow you to change all the details though. Let us see in details that can be rectified.
JEE Main Application Correction Details
Not all entries can be corrected. The candidate can change a few information only. Details like Registered Email etc. cannot be changed. So, what are all the information that can be changed from JEE Main Application Form 2020?
The following information can be corrected:
Selection of Paper: The candidate can change the selection of Papers. Either Paper 1 or 2 or both, the candidate can change it. If the candidate chooses to appear in both the papers, they have to pay the remaining fee. Check Application Fee here.
Personal Details: The candidate can correct their Spellings in the personal details. Though, the candidates cannot change the Phone Numbers and registered Email ID.
Educational Details: All information related to the candidate’s academics can also be changed.
Language of Exam: The candidates can change their medium of the examination from English to Hindi/ Gujarati.
Category: The candidate can change their category from General to Reserved or Vice Versa. In case the candidate changes their Category to Unreserved category or from OBC/NCL to SC or ST OR General, they are required to pay the remaining fees too.
What details cannot be changed?
The candidates can change quite a lot of details in the Application Form. But do not take filling of application for granted. Sometimes, NTA may not provide you the opportunity of corrections. In that case, the incorrect details would cause your application to be rejected. Following are some of the details that cannot be changed under any circumstances.
- Registered Email ID of the Candidate
- Registered Phone Number of the Candidate
- Application Number of the Candidate
- Exam City and Examination Center
- Only one among the Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, or Father’s Name can be changed.
How to Make JEE Main Application Corrections 2020?
Any applications with misguiding/incomplete details or the incorrect information stand to be rejected. To avoid this fate, you must use the opportunity of JEE Main 2020 Application Correction. You must log into the portal in the prescribed time only. Once the correction window closes, you cannot change the details and the JEE Main Online Form 2020 will be rejected.

- You are redirected to the candidate’s login portal.
- Submit your Login details; Registration ID & Password.
- Make the necessary corrections in Application Form.
- Submit the required fees if applicable.
- Verify all the details and confirm.
- Print the confirmation page after the fee has been submitted.
Who are eligible to avail JEE Main application form correction facility?
To be able to make corrections to the JEE Main 2019 application form, it is mandatory that the candidate pay the applicable application fee and also complete all the steps of the JEE Main online application form.
Refund Application Fee
Under no circumstances, the already paid fee is refunded. The candidates who have paid the extra fee will not be able to get any refund amount. For example, if you mentioned your category General and paid the fee. Later you change your category to SC/ST or OBC etc. you will not receive the refund money. If the candidate rather changes the category from SC to General or so, they are required to pay the remaining fee after the correction. Changing your names and other details do not require any payment of extra fees.
