## JEE Main Syllabus 2020

You must have started preparing already. If not, then gear up, tighten your belts. This exam is very important and requires your immense concentration to compete. JEE Main Syllabus 2020 defines in detail of all the important topics for the exam. There are 2 papers; **Paper 1 and Paper 2**. Paper 1 is for the candidates who are planning for the B.Tech course. ### JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020

Details about subjects, marking scheme, Number of questions, the time allotted, etc. all are given.

- It is an online exam except for Drawing Paper.
- The examination is of 3 hours in total.
- All the questions are of multiple choice question types.
- The exam papers are in both English and Hindi Languages. In some parts, it is also in Gujarati.
- Each correct answer awards you with +4 marks.
- Each incorrect answer deducts your -1 mark from the total marks.
- The exam is conducted in the form of 2 papers – Paper 1 & Paper 2.

There are 2 parts in the **Aptitude Test JEE Mains 2020**. The syllabus for each part is as follows:

**Part 1:**

Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

**Part 2:**

Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, color texture, harmony, and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms 2D and 3D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.
